My Bucket List

My Bucket List, www.everydayjoey.com - Photo Cred: barnimages.com on FlikrWe all have bucket lists of one kind or another. Mine is a sort of New Years Resolution/Life Goals list. Maybe someday they will be achieved, we are working on that. ;)

Go To Ireland

This has been my big dream ever since I was little, and I still really really want to go someday. I find myself looking at tickets a few times a year at least. I feel like I have been almost everywhere else in the world besides there at this point (still do have a lot more places to visit though). Hope I can go someday with husband and we can enjoy Ireland's amazingness together.

Have a Family/Be a Momma

This is in progress :) but this has also been one of my dreams since I was little. I remember when they would ask you in elementary school what you want to be when you grow up, and I would always say “a mom.” Cheesy, but true. Glad I get to hold my little one in just a couple months.

Be Smart

This one is always in progress - and honestly, I suck at improving my intelligence. I would love to someday be like Hugh Nibley and read a whole library of books and retain all of that knowledge like a human sponge.

But here I am, wanting to learn Japanese, but barely putting forth the effort to do so. I guess I don't want to cross this one off my bucket list bad enough yet…

Be a “Stay at Home Mom”

I love working, but really, I would LOVE to be able to stay at home with my babies and work on the above list item (be smart). That's part of what this blog is for. Hopefully someday it will make me money instead of just costing me money.

Write a Book

Another thing that I have wanted to do since I was little. I have always loved reading, and would love to write something that others like to read (and as a result also help me be able to stay at home with family - crazy how interconnected all my list is! … Except Ireland..). I have tons of little writings everywhere, and lots of ideas. Just need to sit down with lots of time and work on it. I am also thinking of doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month - November) this year to put a huge dent in a writing, and maybe make some progress. :)

What are a few items on your bucket list? I would love to hear them :)

  3. Travel is on my bucket list too, more specifically getting to all the grand slam tennis events - I would love to do that. I've written my first ebook (it's being edited now) so I'm hoping to cross that off my list soon. I'd also have to add getting a new car. I've never had a new car before, with the new car smell, and I would like to one day (for some strange reason!)

  4. I had planned to do NaNoWriMo this year but here it is, 18th and I've done 600 words. Uni assignments have taken up most the month for me and right now I need a mental break from screens and writing.

  5. I wish I'd made some sort of a list before I had babies, because to be honest it's really hard to remember what I wanted back then, and what I want now is heavily shadowed by what I want "for them" and "for all of us". Some work to be done in that area for me :)

  6. I love that "new car" smell. It would be super nice to have that one day as ours have always been used. I will keep an eye out for your Ebook as it comes out!!! :D

  7. SAME. I got to about 500, and then ignore all the reminders on my phone about it daily. Must not be my year :P

  8. I feel the same about being married. Just adding people in your life skews a little of what you specifically want, because you always have to think about someone else too (although that isn't necessarily bad). So glad I made the list at least now. Better later than never :)
